First, please be on time each week.  Please turn your cell phones off or leave them on silent while class is in session.  Also, no gum chewing during class, please.

For those of you who already have hip scarves, please bring them.  They are not necessary, but it helps to hear your movements while we dance in class.  Plus, it is more fun that way!

For those of you without previous bellydance experience wondering what to wear to class, the most important thing is to be comfortable.  Yoga or gym attire is appropriate.  As long as your clothes are not loose/baggy, you will be fine.  Alyssa cannot effectively instruct you or critique your movements without being able to see your hips or knees.  As far as footwear, barefoot is most common, however light ballet slippers or socks can be used if you prefer.

Shoes may ONLY be worn for ZUMBA® and Belly Fit.  Shoes should be smooth-soled and not worn outside.  You must change into your dance/fitness shoes at the studio.  No exceptions!

Absolutely NO OUTDOOR SHOES are allowed on the dance floor, as Alyssa would like to keep it as sanitary as possible for her students.

Please keep in mind that only paying students are allowed in the studio during class.  If you have a friend or family member who wants to "observe," they will not be allowed to do so.  If they want to see what class is about because they might be interested in taking the class, then they may pay a drop in fee of $15, however they will be expected to participate in class and to not just observe the other students.  Each person will only be allowed to drop in to the dance class session one time.  The reason for this is to provide a comfortable atmosphere for all of the other students.

Also, Alyssa does not offer child care at the studio.  Please do not bring your children to class as they can be a distraction to other students.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact Alyssa before class.
